EC Firearms Directive: Stakeholders - IMCO meeting in Brussels 29th February

On 29th February I attended a stakeholders meeting in Brussels invited by Vicky Ford Rapporteur and Chairwoman of the IMCO Committee.

This proved to be a useful meeting with Stephen Petroni speaking for FESAC, also Jas van Driel, myself for HBSA, Graham Downing for BSSC and Tony Watts of Bapty. We covered well the collecting issues, as well as many others.

It was also useful to meet with Vicky Ford and her team afterwards. They are very competent and understand all the issues as well as being receptive to input and seeking clarifications.

We expect a further draft directive by the end of March although there may be several more yet.

My short paper is attached (time to speak was limited). IMCO already has our detailed papers as well as those of BSSC.
