Members may be aware of the Conference which took place in Malta this weekend regarding the EU Firearms Directive. The Maltese EU presidency began on first January.

Stephen Petroni Chairman of FESAC organised this with support and Funding from Firearms United.

The following links will take you to the two sessions of almost two hours and one & quarter hours. Stephen Petroni starts just after 57 mins. Most of the various issues in the Directive are well (and pointedly) covered by the speakers.

First session : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IqBqHOc5j1c

Second session :- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AODNYF6xO9

We continue to give strong input and liaise with FESAC and Vicky Ford and her team. Our complaint to the Ombudsman, (plus that of FESAC and others) remains pending - it includes libel and slander.

If any action is required by members, such as MEP letters, we will advise with details, to ensure any member action is co-ordinated. Meanwhile we await news and will keep you updated.

We have sent thanks to Stephen Petroni for his continuing work.

Members will note the support (and funding) given by Firearms United. You may like to look at their website and decide if you wish to make a contribution, however modest.
