HBSA Long Range .22 Rimfire Competition - Sunday 12 March 2017

In the Spring of 2016 we ran a 100 yard competition for .22RF rifles. As this was quite popular with our members, it is now planned to hold another competition, but at 200 and 300 yards, on Sunday 12 March 2017.

This will be an 'open' event and the Long Range Rimfire Club (LRRFC) will be invited to join us.

The 200 yard shoot will be in the morning on Short Siberia Range and the 300 will be on Century in the afternoon.

There will be TR and MR classes for both historic and modern rifles – for full details see the HBSA Website under What we do - Competitions – Long Range 22RF  here >>>>

Full ballistic and elevation tables for .22RF ammo are attached to the booking page.  Entry will ONLY be via the online booking system.

If you own a BSA Model 12 or 12/15 with a PH7 rearsight, it will definitely adjust to the 200 yard range and should just go to 300 yards. However, for a simple and effective means of increasing the available elevation on these sights, please contact me by email.

For rifles with dovetail fitting telescopic sights, it is usually possible to introduce some form of thin metal shim under the rear sight base which will raise the point of bullet impact.

We look forward to seeing you there and please get your entries in early !
