HBSA Long Range Competition 21st August 2016 - Match Report

posted 24 Aug 2016, 14:51 by Tony Cattermole
Shot on Stickledown Bisley, Sunday 21st August 2016

The weather was somewhat challenging for the Saturday practice with high winds and heavy showers, on Sunday the weather improved throughout the day becoming very warm in the afternoon sunshine, the wind however was once more a problem. A strong left to right wind persisted all day causing everyone trouble.

Entries were once more down on the previous year.

We managed to secure our usual team of markers who provided an excellent service all day. But credit must also go to the shooters we had very little radio traffic regarding fall of shot etc. even with the strong wind conditions.

We had 15 individual shooters who managed to compete in 22 individual match entries.
With our usual band of travelling Riflemen from North Wales, Yorkshire, Belgium, Warwickshire and even as far away as Surrey.

HBSA prize certificates will be prepared and sent out ASAP. Match Results here >>>>

I would very much like to thank all those who attended for their support and in particular Maurice Kanareck (who only came to help), Anthony Sims, Graham Robinson Danny Parr for their assistance as Range Conducting Officers.

I hope everyone had a good day and that we see you all next year.

Best Regards
Paul Smith
