Heritage Pistol: Request for expressions of interest for a new Designated S7.3 Site

I would like to take the opportunity to make HBSA members aware of a new shooting facility now open in the Arnold area of Nottingham which some members may remember as the Nottingham Indoor Shooting Centre from times past.

When the opportunity came to take up the lease, my Wife Amy and I took the plunge and transferred our business, Wentworth Sporting Supplies to the unit and begun renovating the dilapidated facilities.
We are now up and running and would like to promote the facility to shooters who may find it a convenient location.

The indoor facility offers the following:
  • 5 lane 25yd air gun range, fitted out with field target knock over and spinner type targets as well as frames for paper targets
  • 6 lane 20m firearms range that is in development and due to be completed early next year, this will have the capacity for small bore, pistol cal. carbines and rook / rabbit rifles. We hope also to have the facility to test larger cals also.
  • Cafe where hot and soft drinks will be available as well as sandwiches, hot baguettes and cake etc.
  • A well stocked shop
  • Comfortable area for discussions and presentations.
  • Area for reloading ammunition on site.
  • Storage for firearms ( currently Sec.1 however security has been assessed as generally sufficient for future sec. 5)
  • Workshop for repairs.
We are also establishing a club and would welcome HBSA members who might like to join, if there is sufficient interest, we would be pleased to establish a dedicated section for historic arms shooting and hold competitive events as a regional centre.

In essence what we do is down to the strength of interest from shooters, as suggested above, we have considered the security requirements for operating under section 7.3 and would be amenable to establishing as a Heritage Centre should enough members come foreword with expressions of interest.

Our membership is £150 per year with access to the ranges during opening hours:

Thursday 10.00 to 17.00
Friday 10.00 to 19.00
Sat 10.00 to 19.00

We also have the ability to hold events and shoot on Sundays as required.
Ranges may be hired to FAC holders on a pay and play basis at £10 / hr subject to booking.
They can also be hired for events outside normal opening hours by arrangement.

Please feel free to get in contact for more details or with any questions.
