Kempton Fair venue change notification

posted 25 Sep 2020, 13:25 by Tony Cattermole   [ updated 25 Sep 2020, 13:26 ]
Just had an email from Peter Binfield about Kempton (see below), it has been moved to the below venue, admission is still £5 so are the opening times.

Sunday 4th October, 2020 at SANDOWN PARK RACECOURSE, KT10 9AJ

Dear Trader

After a couple of sleepless nights, and worrying days, when we have been in constant contact with Kmpton Park regarding our 4th October Fair, they have moved us from Kempton to Sandown Park Big Hall. Their decision comes following the PM's announcement a few days ago, as they had concerns that our Fair would jeopardize horseracing behind closed doors. Sandown, however, has no horseracing for over a month after our Fair and therefore considered safe.

This will be held indoors in a Hall double the size of Kempton and therefore, all on ground level. We will be applying all Covid 19 rules regarding social distancing, face coverings and the NHS Track and Trace App will be displayed.

Surrey Police have confirmed they will accept any valid 'RFD Additional Place of Business' that you hold, covering Kempton, Epsom or Bisley and you are free to trade.

You will find Sandown Park Racecourse even easier than Kempton regarding loading and unloading. Your vehicles will remain close and secure inside the venue's enclosure.

The same opening and closing times apply and it is only a few miles from Kempton Park Racecourse.

PLEASE BE AWARE OF A 20 MPH SPEED CAMERA BETWEEN KEMPTON PARK AND HAMPTON COURT.

We will take for granted that you will be happy with these arrangements and nothing will be to your detriment - just better. To put things into perspective, the cost of this venue is treble the price of Kempton Park, although you will see no increase.

All those who have booked outside pitches will be accommodated.

We have fully complied with all current guidelines and as the local authorities allowed a car auction here recently, we can only assume that all is well.

Please make others aware of this move through social media or any other means you have and we shall be contacting you all soon with entry procedure etc.

We hope we have answered all questions, and in the meantime, stay safe and well and we shall see you at Sandown Park Racecourse.

Best wishes.

Liz and Peter
